first round of the TVRCC speed champ was on Sunday. Great fun with good friends and a win to boot in 80.46 seconds. In car footage below https://youtu.be/58SqJsALFF4

Hi Howard, yes almost a second down - it was colder and I am still on last years tyres so that's probably the reason. seemed to lack grip or maybe just ability!

Thought you'd had it re-geo'd at Northampton Motorsport after replacing the bent wishbone? Did you give them the settings?

Your timed run was nearly 1.5 sec slower than last year, guess you need me to spur you on??? biggrin

See you at Gurston (if the bl**dy car gets finished).

Hi Howard Competition is always welcome. The set up by Northampton MS is excellent - the car feels so much more stable so I am delighted with it. We are of course assuming that the course is the same as last year but the start and end points may well have been different.

I had heard rumours that you had become a hairdresser - is it true? - I guess we will find out at Gurston when you arrive in your new chariot. There is nothing as good as an insult to spur you on to beat me.......

Think that might be your missing second right there Jez; why were you braking on the banking? wink

Yes, it's true I'm driving a MK1 MX5. But you're going to have to beat me in the 'lil critter' by about 6 seconds at Gurston & 8 seconds at Prescott.....

Very impressive start to the session, well done.

Sounds like your new injectors and Mark Adams ECU chip worked a treat, you'll be flying once you're on new tyres and the session warms up.

Good luck, Steve
