Hi
I am in the middle of a bit of work on my griff 500 and as the engine is out decided to check the cam for ware. I started a bit of rough measurement checking from one lifter to the next as doing this the valley gasket is also off so a visual of the cam is also possible. It's probably worn across the lot as the car has done 50000 miles but one of the lobes on number 5 cylinder has a lot more ware probably half the lift of the rest this is obvious to see when you look at the cam. Should I be looking for a reason for this before I put a new cam in?
Any help appreciated
