Rover V8 - High Oil Pressure

My Griff has started to show higher than usual oil pressure. It runs just under an indicated 60psi cold reducing only to around 45psi when idle and hot. On the move it's somewhere between 45-60psi. Previously I've seen this as low as 15psi (Mobil 1) although it was more commonly 30-45psi with better oil.
Oil pressure sender has been changed and the pressure has been confirmed in that range with an external gauge. Oil pressure relief valve has been inspected and is not stuck. No obvious signs of any issues, there are no unusual noises.
Thoughts?

You say the relief valve isn't stuck but does it travel freely inside the housing? Also, if there's to much play it has been known for them to jam.
I didn't check it, Col at TVRS-SW checked it. I think he knows what to look for so can only assume that it's within normal tolerances.I don't really mind the high oil pressure, it's just unusual. And if I'm honest, in the back of my mind I'm worrying about blocked oilways.
If you're concerned about a blocked oilway could you install a guage further up the engine to see if there's high pressure there also? If there is then you don't have a blockage. A blocked oilway /tight shell etc would soon cause problems.
I once had an uprated relief valve spring (I uprated it even further) and it matched my oil pressure to my revs ie, 40lbs at 4k. I still only got 5 or 6 psi at idle. That engine had twin turbo's and when I took it apart it was nice and healthy inside.
