ok so just tried to start the car. thought it was the hot start issue. no so - stone cold after 2 days in the garage. all as before pumps prime turn the key the extra bit and nothing. jacked it up waggles the wires to the starter motor and it fires. waggle them again and it does so loose connection then. the bolted connections look ok. the one that feels loose is the white wire with the connector on it. my question what does this wire do - its too small to be earth or live?

It can only be the solenoid feed from the ignition switch:

New spade connector and it all works perfectly, both when and cold. Thanks
