I've got an old Gemini alarm on my 400. Since getting it back from the paintshop the central locking doesnt work properly. When I press the blipper you can hear the doors lock but then then unlock again immediately. The hazzards flash once as normal but the car is left unlocked. At least it does set the alarm properly so if you open the door it does go off. When you blip it again to unlock there is usual three flashes and the alarm de-activates properly. At the moment I'm just making sure I dont park it anywhere other than in work (private carpark) or in the garage. The paintshop said they didnt knowingly change anything. Any ideas what would casue this?

Edited to say they did spray the door shuts so perhaps theres something amiss with the switch?

Sounds very much like the door switches , or maybe bonnet or bootlid if they have switched fitted.

It sounds like your door contact buttons. I have had just the same on my Chimaera and it was caused by the little pad on the door falling off. If it's missing, the door contact doesn't recognise that the door is correctly shut and it won't lock.

The paint shop may have knocked it off accidentally during the work.

Thats exactly what it was. Pad is missing so door not making contact with switch properly.
