I looking to have the hood on my 1998 Griff recovered and the back fold down section replaced, has anybody any suggestions for the best place to have it done? East Midlands area would be best for me but would travel if necessary. Quality is more important than price (within reason).

Have just had mine done at Martrim in Cheshire. I had the roof recovered first - £176.25 then had rear section with nice new rear screen done yesterday -£305.50. If you got it done as a oner then maybe get a better price. They do an excellent job also.

Chaps name is Don.

He did my Griff in December 04 and charged me £640.38 incl Value Added Thievery

Not sure if he will hold that price though because he hated doing it. The rear loop attaching the hood to the body has 3 fittings which are complete gits to get to.

Did a good job on mine although its a sod to fit the targa top now which I am putting down to new seals and new hood meaning everything is fat and tight.

Blue 'mohair' which is actually a 3 layer sandwich.
UV resistant colour impregnated outer layer, water proof membrane middle layer, coloured inner layer.

It won't fade and doesn't need waterproofing - ever.

Improved the car unbelievably.
