Speedo Connections

I've been rebuilding my speedo and want to test it before putting it back in the car. I have a signal generator, but I'm not sure which wires are the ground, 12V and pulses. Anyone know which wire colour is which?

If it is of any help the Chim wiring is as follows.
Green x 3
Blue/Yellow
Black
Brown/White
Brown?Yellow

The speedo includes the oil and charge lights so ignoring those wires.

So from the speedo point of view
Green = +12 volt
Black = Earth
Blue/Yellow = Signal

Thanks Steve - wire colours tally with the Griff (except the signal is plain yellow) so I'm going give it a go and see what happens!
