My clutch is starting to slip when changing up at high revs, is a 92/400 fitted with a standard SDI unit or something more substantial?

As far as I am aware the clutch is made by AP racing. A standard SD1 clutch would not be upto the job.

Somebody posted the AP racing codes for the clutch on here a couple of months ago. I'm sure if you do a search you will find the codes.

I think the post also talked about who was doing the best deal cost wise.

Don't they just stink when they slip as well?

Unfortunately, there have been lots of variations on clutches and several people have been caught out buying bits before they have taken the gearbox off to see what was fitted. Worth replacing release beraing and pivot fork as well.

Steve

As usual Steve knows his stuff.
The pivot fork has an impressed dent in it and the actuator arm sits in this dent. A bit like a hip joint but not such a complete ball and socket.
The wear on the pivot fork isnt obvious but it wears the metal thin and eventually the actuator arm shoves through and you have no clutch, just a feeling like a broken cable. For the sake of a few extra quid, get it done while its all in bits.
