wobbly wheels??
Discussion
OK can anyone help? i recently had my tyres changed and I just went out in the car, braked a little hard and the one front wheel seems to wobble??? I had this experience before when the same wheel was on the other side.. (ie. now on N/S previously on O/S), have checked the bolts are tight, and the wheel bearing is fine, cannot see anything obvious like too much rust on disc..
The only thing is the car has been on axle stands for about 6 weeks, with and without wheels.. can this cause any suspension problems??

I hit a pot hole at night & damaged the inner rim* of my freshly referbed front n/s OZ splitrim. The Griff was almost undriveable above 55mph. The tyre fitter gleefully told me the wheel was a write-off. However, I took the wheel to Diamond refinishing in Harlesdon. To cut a long story short, the wheel is now 99.5% true for a price that is a fraction of a replacement wheel. I highly recommend these chaps & it was a 4 day turnaround.
*the rim wasn't cracked but 10mm out of round!

Just out of interest have you tried swapping the front wheels? just to see if that makes a difference?Have you got 16 and 15's they may have mixed them up?

Just got back from a garage... we had the calipers apart as one front one had seized (funnily enough the one which wasn't wobbling on braking...)
The one which was wobbling was due to a build up of dirt on the disc where the car had not been moved for a while..!! now I have full braking force..
Have come across a couple of other problems though whilst the car was on the ramp..
1) Steering gaiter gone..
2) Steering rack was loose..
3) an oil leak from the sump and one from the diff!!
