I've been quoted £700 - £800 
for retrimming the dashboard (sculpted piece, not the instrument panel) in leather.
It's a complex job alright - the leather is in several pieces, is stitched into a complex form cover and then bonded to the dash. Has anyone had it done cheaper? Where?

Just out of intrest I once asked a local trimmer how much he would charge to retrim an entire Griff (full leather) he recond at arround £3.5k,
so I think the thing is to look after whats in the car already

page 2, pic 12 there are others about - I've got topgrade leather, wilton carpets and a new mohair hood - cost a bit more than £800 but you don't need all that, or do you???

Thanks for that - It had just come out of the Jet-Wash before continuing the journey to Racing Green to see the Sagaris.
The bits that are missing are at the trimmers getting finished - and I really want to sort out an original stainless dash and start again with the Dials etc as I'm not happy with the Leven jobby (not that it's not good - it's just I want to do the car justice and stay orignal).

Original stainless dash - is this right, learn something new every day then. I thought they were all 'wood'
Have a look at my new profile picture. The dials on my car have polished rims. Dont know how or when but I think they really look the biz. Unlike the leven vents which I will put back to original when I work out how the radio comes out!
Love the interior red colour on yours btw. Keep up the good work.
Not sue about the stainles steel being original - other early pre-cat owners are also telling me it should of been wood - but when I got mine it had a stainless unit with black dials.
Will investigate further and let you know, the leather colour isn't really a bright red but more a burgundy - but still scrummy. I do like your dials, they contrast very well with the wood!!!
