Non-starting griffith, got spark and fuel
Discussion
Hi guys,
hoping everyone is OK just need a bit of help to diagnose a non starting griffith. I put it away in a temporary garage about 2 weeks ago everything working well. I have just gone into the garage and it is seriously damp, the car cranks and has a spark, I can smell fuel and can hear the pump priming, there is also fuel on the plugs. i can also hear the stepper motor make a buzzing noise when i stop cranking. ive wd40d everything i can think of but I'm stumped on what to check next. can anyone help?
thanks in advance guys,
Mark

Does it fire at all?
Do you have a spark at the plugs or coil?
I find these helpful as you can see the spark at the plug and its obvious if the spark is regular/strong:

Hi.The two times i have had this problem in the last 12years on my Griff is when the battery is starting to degrade. It still measured 12.5v but not enough current to turn engine fast enough to fire which then causes it to flood and sadly these engines flood easily.immobiliser not an issue as pump is priming.Might just be a case of removing plugs, dry out and clean, then a new battery.Hope this helps.
