97 Griff- Reg P633 NLB

Does anybody know the history of the '97 griff 500 for sale at fernhurst motors, reg. P633 NLB. It's done about 36k for sale at 20 grand- has full TVRSH but no record of a new clutch- will it need it with this mileage??

Any info from previous owners/ knowledge of the car very much appreciated..!!

Clutch will depend on previous driving style, Who knows??

My griff has done 54k miles and I have bags of history but no mention of a clutch and it still feels great.

Wouldnt worry too much about this, you could get a 20k milage car which has had lots of track abuse that has had a new clutch....

My '97 Griff was up to 46k miles on the original clutch when I traded it in, with no sign of slip or excessive wear, so I'd say it all depends how it's been driven.

p.s. Did anyone here buy my old Griff from Fernies? Cooper Green with a roll bar, P*** RBK I think was the new plate...

Really? That comes as a surprise given that the kit alone is something like £600 through a dealership.

I've just order the kit from TVR for a griffith 500 and the TVR RRP was circa £335 inc VAT. My local Land Rover dealer recon'd he'd be circa 20% cheaper; and my local motorfactors recon'd they be at least half the price. I suppose I went the TVR route cos I'm lazy and for peace of mind.

Had mine changed after a oil seal gave way and and covered the clutch, so had that changed and an exhaust conversion £800 including VAT and Labour for the lot.

My 500 needed a new clutch at about 45k (Went on the journey home from buying the car ) Obviously dependant on previous driving syle. £700 fitted at Racing Green, and at very short notice. They did say it never showed signs of major abuse, just warn pressure springs. Loads of meat left on the friction plate.
