Cooling fan switch

Hello people,
don't know if anyone can give me any assistance, but the Griff (it's a 1995 model) overheated in traffic at the weekend due to the cooling fan's not cutting in.
Having called the AA and waited for the engine to cool off I was informed that the switch has packed up which causes the fans to cut in, therefore if the fans are connected directly they work, but not otherwise.
To save the expense (and pain) of visiting a dealer, thought would ask if anyone knows if this is a landrover part, and also where to locate the switch ??
(Only the AA man couldn't find it!). A mechanic friend is going to fit the new switch for me, but I thought if I could find out where it is then that would be a good start.

Bottom of the expansion tank. Not a Landrover part as it has the wrong specs and will lead to more overheating.

Can't believe the AA man couldn't see it if it's there, he was looking for a good half hour. What's this "Bible" I keep hearing you folk refer to, apologies for being a smidge ignorant, only don't get enough time by far to browse these forums properly....

I've always found the TVR Centre in Barnet very helpful with identifying and sending parts, normally next day delivery, not bad price wise either, it takes roughly 5 mins to change the otter, if you are quick you may only need a cupful of anti freeze!

Thanks for the info, i've ordered the part now.
I did look under the expansion tank and couldn't see a switch, so assume the switch is at the bottom of the main water container ??

Also fitted in rad, just under top hose on some later cars, if you cant find it.

SHPub - Well Done you !! What a fab book !
It arrived yesterday, last night I found the switch, bridged it (found out the AA man hadn't checked the fuse despite telling me he had) - and all back in action.
The book's excellent though, loads of useful information in all areas of the car. Wish i'd known about it in the first place instead of getting snippets from dealers.
