I noticed that my cooling fan is kicking in at 80 degrees, previously it kicked in at 90 degrees.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Is the temperature guage as accurate as it could be?

If Los Angeles' theory is true, the horn may not work. (depending on which fuse it is)

you can get laser infrared temperature meter's although still quite expensive, but prehaps a friendly garage would help if they had one? At least you could then confirm the accuracy of the Temp Guage

Some more upmarket multimeters have a temp sensor.
I got one from Argos for around 25 quid that is better constructed than my old Sykes pickavant tester.
