Gone floppy

My passenger side mirror has lost all life and has gone a bit limp.

I've got no idea how the internals work or how I can remove it so any help is really appreciated.

its covered in the bible but it sound like the small allen key needs tightening.
I did it on mine and its a right pain!!!
make sure you tape the door up around the mirror to avoid
any scratches.
Lift up the black plastic over cover.
on the side of the outer alloy casting is a small allen key it just need a turn or two(its reccessed into the door so you will probably need to cut down the allen key).
i have heard that sometimes the boss inside the door can come away which will need a fibreglass repair (but i bet its easier than trying to get to the allen key )

i am sorry but i can't remember the size someone will perhaps help you on that.

As Paul(Old64er) said it's a nightmare to tighten - I took the drastic route - you can drill a small hole from the inside of the door adjacent/tangencial to the top of the allen bolt and then you can nip it up very tight by passing the allen key shaft through the hole and straight in the allen bolt.

Can I call mine a 'Homglomated(???)Light-Weight Special'....

Well that was a nice weekend job! The grub screw looked impossible to get to even if I'd cut an allen key down so I decided to unscrew the whole mirror from the body work. Pulled the black sleeving back and cut a neat line in it so that it'd come off. Then screwdriver in the side on t the mirror body[metal structure] and slowly turned the mirror to undo it. Once that's undone you can very easily tighten the tony grubba.

Then refix the mirror, my mirrow needed some internal repair so I took the whole thing apart, three screws on the back casing and 3 security screws on the plastic mirror pivot thing. Put it all back together, retightened then the sleeve back on with some black insu tape and Bob's yer uncle.
