Hi Chris. On light cruise its possible to run 45 degrees advance. Looking at your map id say your way off this which is probably why your mpg is poor.

Having said that your supercharged requirements for ignition advance will differ from that of a na motor. By how much im not too sure.

Thanks Carsy that was what I was thinking. I'm not sure that the SC would make any difference to the light cruise as the inlet manifold/plenum will be under Vacuum and as a result any compressed air would simply be recirculated back to the before the SC. Possibly while the engine is running Boost it should be retarded to compensate for the extra heat and pressure inside the combustion chamber. But I just don't have the experience or knowledge of forced induction to know..

Cheers, Jools was recommended to me by Stevesprint at the Growl and I fully intend to go see him and get the car on his RR. I'm just trying to learn a bit more about my car and looking for people's experience.
He's mapped both our Griffs in the last 12 months, Andrea's literally 2 weeks ago. Nice chap and sensible prices compared with others I've heard about.
