Griff 500 99

Just bought a Griff 500 with a small ding in it. Cant open the boot cos I dont know how it has a clifford alarm on it with boot opener but the wires got parted in damage. Is there any other way of opening it. Only decided 2 days ago to buy it now got lots to learn quickly.

owners manual might say too? or if you brought it fom a dealer prehaps ask them.

Thanks for the info! I have bought it from a non TVR sorce and they know nothing about the car or very little anyway. I have to go on saturday and do some prelim stuff before its delivere and I wanted to open the boot. I am about to get onr of the steve heath books but i will not be able to get before Sat. I can see I am going to have to watch you lot!!!

I tried all the buttons I could find then tried reconnecting some of the damaged wiring just behind the passenger door where it has had a slight reshape but failed and only had 30 mins to do it. I dont get it delivered for another week then it goes straight to my pals garage to have all the underbody done and sealed. I have to go on sat and do a bit of work but until I get my heath bible and wiring diagram I am at the mercy of a pack of wolves LOL !!!

Dont worry I understand where you are coming from regrding security Im too laid back to take anything to heart! I am just too excited to get in it and drive it as the fastest thing I ever drove was my old metro turbo 1.3 which I had chipped. Will it be a lot be faster than my Metro was? I havent driven a TVR before just always wanted one!

As it happens I ordered a bible testerday and the nice lady says I might get it today or the latest tomorrow!

Take it easy. Too many TVR's get written of in the first year of ownership, sometimes taking the owner with them. Treat it with respect or it will bite you. Especially in the wet. Get yourself booked in for some training too.

Sorry guys that was me getting my own back for your teasing earlier. I have had superbikes and a few standard nippy production cars in the past. I know I have to treat it with great respect and get some slippers to gently tickle the throttle!

They are very much like modern superbikes. Quite benign most of the time, but will rag you shredded very quickly if you overstep the mark. Problem is, the mark changes from car to car, and day to day.
