Heres mine. I had it fitted by the garage in Birmingham before they were no longer. I think they were Team Central and the guy that did it now trades somewhere else and can probably sort the job for you, too.

Its a factory bar, good fit and OK with hood up.

Why do you want a roll bar?
I had one on my last Griff. I thought it would answer my concerns about safety in the event of a roll. But in fact it made me more concerned because of the high chance of hitting it with my head in the event of any kind of shunt. With mine (same as Lazy's) my head could easily touch the bar when sitting normally in the car. Due to the lack of space in the Griff cabin between the bar and the roof there was insufficient space to apply some roll bar padding.
I figured the chance of having a run-of-the-mill accident in which the bar would smash my skull was way higher than the chance of having a roll when the bar would prove to be of benefit.
But if you're interested in track days etc when you'll be wearing a helmet and may well get some benefit from the additional stiffness gained from the bar then go for it!

I appreciate they spoil the look of the car a bit and that is why I want a higher level one so 1. You can't see it from the rear screen with the back up and 2. You don't bang your head.
Additional stiffness in the chassis would be nice. With all the accidents reported I do feel a little apprehensive now and feel the roll bar would add piece of mind.
Also want to really explore the Taraka and Nitron mix.

Without starting a row, that Rollbar looks mighty low to me.. if you were upside down wouldn't your head still be 1st point of contact with the road ? (it might just be the way the photo is taken
)None of the options I have seen seem to be ideal. As said some after market ones seem to sit rather low in the car and don’t come anywhere near the Blue Book recommendation of a line between the bar and the next supporting part (presumably the plenum chamber) being above the drivers head. I have the factory bar fitted which was sold as “cosmetic” but it certainly seems quite robust. Head banging certainly is a worry with this one if you have the seat well back, so it is generally more of a concern for the passenger. I have fitted a “Sparco Ultra” drivers seat which for a short ass like me fits in front of the bar and mitigates the problem. To comply with MSA regs the bar has to be padded anyway. This introduces a new problem, as with padding fitted the roof is an extremely snug fit.

Seen that before and often wondered where the rear section bolts too?? also teh brackets that go to the floor, would like to see how they are held to the chassis ,or are they justbolted down like the seats?as .Not knocking it, if it works then cool, guess it would be good to see one. Anyone know if if its tested, or is teh ownere of one on here?

My Chim500 has got the factory bar -for track days- but, after driving my mates fullly caged Tuscan racer , I feel pretty exposed back in the Chimaera.
