Flamethrower coils

I'm going to be changing my coil soon and fancy a blingy one. I know some people have fitted Mallorys, but has anyone fitted one of these?

I spoke to an NGK spark plug bloke about these at a motor show. Also about the "spark enhancers". He was most dismissive.

Sounds like a gimmick..

I fitted a Mallory red jobbie - it seems OK.

Nothing really wrong with the old old - so I'm using that as a spark source for a flamer kit to ingite the unburnt exhaust gases.. really must get round to fitting it before BBWF and Griff Growl

Got a mallory a couple of months ago and performs as well as the old, but looks better and got it for £37inc vat and P+P! Bargain if you ask me!!

Are the Mallory Coils generally regarded as better than Bosch?
Whilst I am at it, what about HT leads - I have heard a lot about Magnecor. Are these considered to be the best HT leads?

Magnecor leads are definately worth having. The blue ones are quite adequate.
I've also read somewhere that it doesn't matter whether you strike a match or ignite a flamethrower in a combustion chamber (so to speak), the result will be the same.
