I would like to get rid of the speedo trigger wheel on the prop shaft. Its a PITA when working in that area and gives poor access when tightening the prop shaft bolts

I don't need the speedo I use a satellite based race logic Vbox even on the road but if I remove the trigger wheel and no signal goes to the speedo/ECU then the car will stall when I dip the clutch/pull up at the lights as I believe its used as a road speed sensor?

is there a simple work around?

You need a working speedo for an mot so would leave attached just for that purpose.

The vbox is a working Speedo so that is not an issue.

Sod’s law says at time of mot you won’t have a satellite signal to operate the speedo. wink
