Early Griff speedo
Discussion
My 1994 Griff 500 has the speedo sensor in the gearbox. It broke a while back and I found the broken wire in the sensor unit and reattached it. It worked for a while, then stopped again.
I removed the sensor, spun it up with a drill and the speedo worked, so either I have a loose connection somewhere not obvious or the drive in the gearbox is faulty.
As these sensors are expensive I wonder, can I convert it to the later prop shaft driven type. So long as i get the number of magnets right I should be able to get the right output count.

Can that be hooked directly to my existing 14cux connector under the car (obviously i'll need to change the actual connector) ?
