That’s a boot opening mod. Looks a bit ropey, does it work?

ahh.. can you expand a little further, it looks like a random pressure switch and the car didnt explode when I pressed it so that makes more sense.

That switch supplies a relay in the boot, there will be a sensor behind the number plate and when a magnet(in the key fob) moves across it,the boot pops open. So walk to car,unlock doors and there is no need to go in the car.

I’ve got one like that in mine and it works a treat. Except I think my wiring is a little bit tidier!
