Union Jack bonnet badge

I really like the look of the Union Jack bonnet badges, but after having a look at how my standard badge is fixed ('97 500 if that makes a difference between variants), it seems like a very tight squeeze.
Is there a trick to removing & fitting the badges? There seems to be the big air box in the way just above the radiator & fans restricting access.
If anyone has any tips, it'd be greatly appreciated!

8mm (I think) nuts on the end of 2 studs attach the badge to the body. Just be careful not to angle the spanner/socket as the pins are fragile.
Its a bit of a stretch so make sure you're not in situ for too long as it don't do your back any favours.

The airbox you mention is removable. If you do you can clean the airfilter at the same time...................

Thanks both for the replies - I'll have a look at removing the air box for a bit more room & give it a go. Wish me luck!
