Strange noise

When I pull away quite hard in my 500 Griff a loud groaning noise comes from somewhere under the front near side of the car. I have checked all the suspension under there ball joints top and bottom, torsion bar links etc and can see nothing wrong, its not the engine or the mounts, anyone else experienced similar problems.

Depends what you mean by "groaning", but I get a noise when accelerating quite hard (more of a less-harsh grinding noise if that makes sense) - I'm fairly sure it's the clutch release bearing. I'll be getting it checked out at the next service. Same thing maybe?
