Brake disc & pad options - not looking to upgrade

My discs and pads are due to be replaced shortly. I have had no complaints with the stock setup.
So i am not looking to upgrade the braking system, but if i can get increased performance for little or no extra cost....I am looking to replace the discs with grooved and cross drilled ones and uprated pads that i have sourced at a comparable price to TVR stock ones.
Does anyone have any experience of the following?;
Black Diamond - vented & cross drilled fronts & rears
Pagid - 8 or 16 grooves
Red Dot - XJ XR XM or XO range
EBC pads
If i went Black Diamond route for the discs, can i use different make pads?
