500 Engine Compression Test
Discussion
I carried out a compression test on My Griffith 500 engine today in a continuing investigation into increased oil consumption.
Engine is on 104k miles, original short engine, full top end rebuild 7k miles ago.
How do these results compare to other people's results for our engines? Any comments from people more experienced that me would be appreciated

My 98 boiled over a few times several years back and it's been using water, plus I noticed that the power was well down. We did a comp test and the two middle pots are Well down, but I wrote the numbers down in the copy of the Bible that Steve gave me with the car back in May 10, but I've lost the ruddy book!
From memory the two lowest ones were on circa 115 and the highest on circa 195, but my car just uses water, not oil ( it just leaks it ) I would say that your engine is getting tired, rings, pistons, rebore etc.
