Evening, just wondering fitting Clive ford equal length manifolds to a 4.3 bv pre cat Griff would it be worth having the Act trumpets upgrade ? also the pre heater on plenum chamber is it really necessary the cooler the better, a friend who has a ginetta bypassed not had a problem. It's not that used in the winter guess there two schools of thought here

I’ve got one of Jools (Kits& classics) machined plenum bases- no trumpets at all to fall out & roll about-

Yep, Jools blended base is a work of art almost too nice to be hidden away under the plenum. As Simon says if you remove the heater plate one of the holes goes straight through so will need blanking with a bolt. Just make sure the bolt end finishes flush with the inside of the plenum otherwise you will get a nice whistling sound every time you open the throttle.
