I am looking for a kit of outriggers to provide to my local specialist.

RT Racing and Sportmotive for example offer this kit at different prices :

Sportmotive : £895. outriggers blasted and zinc coated and then gloss top coated,..
Outrigger Kit (includes a pair of outriggers and fitting kit)

RT Racing : £599

Have you any personal experience with them and which one would you recommend ?.

Thank you for sharing your review with me.

I fitted the outrigger kit from R T Racing last year.

They came in the steel finish and had to be primed and painted which was fine, matches the existing chassis!.

I cut off the existing and cleaned out my existing chassis tubes and offered up the outriggers , They fitted absolutely perfectly and didn’t require any trimming or adjusting at all.

I was extremely pleased with the quality and the whole job went to plan.

Worst part of course is cleaning up existing chassis in readiness to receive.

Both companies have a top notch rating with us owners, so you cannot go wrong with either, but it seems a shame to spend £300 extra.
Outriggers, as supplied by TVR on the later cars badly painted, still last at least 12-15 years (mine had to be replaced at 13 years and 70,000 miles), and you can do better than they did with the painting I am sure..

I wonder if the price difference is in the tube material,

Probably just in the treatment.

Honestly, couldn’t fault the product from RT racing.

I’m sure the Sportmotive ones are equally as good. They always have a good reputation.

Good to know there are alternative sources out there .

I presume the price difference is in the surface treatment (blasted and zinc coated, then gloss top vs steel ?)
Is it worth the money ?

TVR Parts offers the outriggers kit at £475.00 + VAT.

Thank you.

I wonder who makes their kit up. Funny if it is R T Racing!
