I’ve bought another Griff 500 (97) which needed quite a bit of TLC to get up to scratch and ready for the road again. It’s just an observation but I’ve noticed that when the engine is cranking the rev counter does not read but bounces back up when it fires, I’ve not seen this or at least I don’t remember seeing this happen with any of my previous Griffs/Chims. Does this mean there is a problem or potential problem with the Ignition Amplifier? or am I being paranoid!!??
