Griff 500 brakes
Discussion
Standard Grif 500 front brakes are 260mm diameter items vented around the edges (not grooved or drilled). I believe they are same as Ford Sierra ABS models, and also Escort Cosworth. Calipers are normal 2 pot - I presume also from Ford Sierra, but I'm not so sure on that.
Although the spec sounds a bit naff, they seem to perform OK for normal road use. Tend to suffer heat problems when pushed harder, like on trackday.
Can upgrade disks to 285mm diameter within the standard Grif 500 front rims (300mm at a very close squeeze).

Just be very very careful. The Griff and Chimaera and S series uprights, callipers and discs were supplied as a matched set. In most cases there is a large amount of interchangeability but not always. The clearances are very tight and you may find that a Griff 500 kit may not fit on the S because the upright brake spacing is slightly different.
In other words, check and double check before buying as you don't want to buy kit that doesn't fit.
