‘93 Griff 500 key
Discussion
Hi all,
So I just took delivery in the United States of my 1993 TVR Griffith 500 and unfortunately I was only given one key with the car so I need to know how to go about obtaining one or two spares. Unfortunately, the two spare immobilizer fobs were lost in the envelope that the seller mailed me all of the documents in, presumably when it was opened for inspection by customs. I have already been in touch with Carl Baker to sort those out but definitely would like to have a couple of extra keys as well.
Attached is a photo of what the existing key looks like. Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
Aaron

Typically TVR used a Vauxhall/Opel key blank on Griffiths and Chimaeras, this blank was used on many early/mid 1990's models across Europe, I guess it's possible that GM used the same blank over the pond in the 90's?

Check the above diagram closely against your existing key to make sure it looks right, if it does Google OPWYP or give this code to a US car key specialist they should be able to help, I found these people in Fort Worth Texas...

Or try 'Keys In The Post' over here who will be able to help you remotely and mail you a couple of spares to your home address in the States.

If you need key blanks they're readily available on UK eBay,

Even TVR Parts sell them, although they are a bit pricey.
