Precat fuel tank sender seal
Discussion
In the process of replacing the rubber fuel lines at the rear end, including the return line, and with the tank empty thought about fixing the tank sender issue I have.
Will need to replace the seal, which made me wonder with all the issues caused by ethanol to the fuel hoses, if an ethanol resistant seal had been developed anywhere, does anyone know? Never removed this before so assume it is a rubber like material.
With the position of the sender on a precat they are in direct contact with fuel with half a tank onboard so would be sensible to upgrade if available.
TIA

I ordered the sender from race tech and also ordered the seal that they sell to match it.
Not fitted it yet, but hope to this week.
I did think about the ethanol thing but then just ordered it without asking the question. If the boot filled with fuel one night it would be highly annoying but it is not under high pressure in the tank and it is not the same as spraying it over a hot exhaust manifold.
