I am looking to keep the Griff on a battery conditioner most of the time now. Any recommendations as to which is the best for a Griff 500 ? Thanks.

Accumate.
Don't get an Optimate - it isn't rated highly enough for the Griff/Chim battery Amperage.
It comes with aplethora of connectors. I used the 'screw on to the battery terminal' one to connect to the battery permanently and now have a waterproof rubber connector just sticking out above the carpet foot rest thing so I can plug it in when I need it. That means the charger can stay at home and dosn't slide around in the boot. It also means I can use it with the crocodile clips on other batteries without having to buy another/unwire it from the car.
Get it here for £34.

Agree with the Accumate. I use this with the cigarette lighter plug, as the battery terminals are not easy to access.

Works a treat.

Got mine from leven technology.
