carpets

hi ya'll

The passengers and especially the drivers carpet in my Griff are getting well worn. Any ideas where new ones can be procured - with some attempt to match the originals and/or the car colour??

Assuming you mean just the foot well carpets, Go to a good local carpet shop (not one of the big warehouse places) take them in with you to match the colour. They will either sell you a piece to cut yourself or leave it with them to cut, then they can bind the edges in a suitable contrasting or matching colour. Not as expensive as you might think, but I guess it depends on the retailer.

i've sourced new versions of the original heel rubber for the griffith matts if thats any help??? what colour carpet r u after?

Fat Griff, the colour of the car is described as Rosso however the carpets vary in colour from what could be described as red in the passenger side to pink in the drivers side. I suspect that the passenger side may have been changed before but the drivers is original.

These people have done a few carpeting jobs on the S's.

They will even make up complete sets using your old carpets as templates.

You never know they may already have a template for the Griff.

FYI I have got hold of a pair of mats on Ebay now - 30 quid for black 'uns with the natty TVR logo stitched in Red. Apparently they are made from "BMW carpet" so dont need a rubber heel mat thingy !! we'll see

Hoover - got a quick response from the website you suggested. They want a paper template of the mats or post the originals for a quote. Looks pukka but Iv gone the lazy route... cheers though
