cigarette lighter
Discussion
I don't smoke, but I do use the lighter socket in the driver's door to power my sat nav and other things which means I have wires from the plug fitted in the door socket across the top of the steering column and over to the centre console area.
I have bought a 'loose' socket from a caravan camping shop which has two wires (obviously) currently fitted with crocodile clips which I will cut off and intend to have it as an auxilary socket poking out from somewhere unobtrusive in the passenger dash area.
My question is: Assuming I fit a suitable in-line fuse and I do not intend to use it for charging the battery or anything high current, where is the best place to take the supply from. The battery, fuse box or a suitable feed in the dash that is 'get atable'through the glove box?
Cheers, Paul
