Griffith SE headlights

The last 100 Griffiths had larger headlights. I assume these give better light.
Has anyone changed their non SE headlights for the newer ones? I expect new pods etc are required.

I have a new nose on my Griff which is LE spec. The lights are much much brighter and yes it is new pods etc.

For what it's worth, Mod-wise do an upgrade kit for TVR headlights. Had it fitted to my Chimaera, I think it routes power to one headlight from the starter motor power source and leaves the other one with the original connection. The result is full power to the headlights and it did make a very worth while difference.

I can only agree, I fitted the "Brighter lights kit" by Modwise and it realy is a big improvement. I can see were I'm going in the dark now.

Same here, the kit comes with 4 Philips 50% brighter bulbs as well for £65 and it really makes a big difference for what seems like a cheap price. Not hard to fit either. I wanted to keep the existing look of the lights.

Hella also do 50% brighter bulbs (same wattage as standard). I've fitted some to my Ford Probe (no sniggering please) and they are quite a big improvement. They are also cheaper than Phillips (about £15 for a pair of H4s). I intend to fit some to the Griff soon.

I had light conversion by TVR bodyshop - see item on Ebay below:

They are much better than the original, and still kept the beautiful Griff shape
