Options for alloy handbrake grips

At Le Mans the heat was so much that the rubber grip on my handbrake split! So I need to replace it. I am familiar with the Leven item but are they others I may be in aware of? I quite like the Tamora/Tuscan grip which has a more traditional shape to the leven one? Thoughts anyone? Rich...

The one I have from Leven is quite traditional, just straight, no curves.

I've got a Zertec one which a friend of mine christened the 'porn' handbrake. It's er...very scultped (and he obviously has a warped mind).

I have the Zertec one to, I see why he might of thought that It is a class design though although i doubt you woul dbe able to get them now.
Leven or richbrook(sp?) are commonly used IMHO

I'm a fan of Leven trim - reckon the handbrake has a nice subtle look - making it look like it has always been there.

Quite right too! - and the nicely sculpted heater knobs blend well with the matching sculpted gear knob.

The Leven ones have pointers... so you can see where on the "scale" they are pointing too...

Guys, I have finished fitting the Tamora / Tuscan alloy handbrake grip to the Griffith. It wasn't straight forward but I must say it was well worth the effort and I'm rather chuffed with the results. What do you do you reckon? Rich...

Looks superb. What problems did you encounter?

Love the leather colour combo too.

Problem is that the handbrake shaft on the Griff is a 20mm. tube that tapers out towards the rear. The alloy grip as supplied by TVR only had a 19mm. inside bore so I had to have it reamed out to 20mm and then I had to work it with hand-files and a rotary stone to get the taper to accommodate the rear end of the shaft. Other than that it was a breeze! I like the way it matches the gear knob perfectly though.Rich...
