Urgent "How much" question

Briefly,following from a previous thread, I have to give an imminent decison on Griff i have looked at.
Worst case scenario, if it needed a top end rebuild,with say cracked heads that needed welding, what sort of figure would I be looking at roughly? Any one been down this route before?
Obviously this will affect what I can offer for the car, or if I proceed with buying it........

Very roughly a grand. I assume it's only one head. They come off relatively easily and I would have thought you could get a replacement from TVR Power (or potentially any of the other well known RV8 specialists). If you keep work to a minimum you could probably get away with less than a day's labour.
