non starting Griff
Discussion
My Griff as decided that it doesn't want to start via the usual method of turning the key!!
It will bump start no problem, I've even wired the starter sol direct to 12volts and it will turn over, but when I turn the key I get an ignition light and the fuel pump runs but turn the key to turn over the engine and nothing no clicking or slow turning, nothing happens.:(
I'm told it is not uncommon for the starter wires at the ignition barrel to become damaged and fuse together or short out, am I on the right track or is there somthing I'm missing as anyone one had a similar problem any thoughts or advice most welcome.

GV8s, I have the ignition in bits and while the multi plug looks OK the white wire of the three (red, white and red-white)doesn't look good, showing signs of excess heat, this wire (along with the red-white) however is linked to the alarm so the signs of heat could be from the solder, I'm going to replace the switch (I believe they are black or grey, mines grey)and then re-check everything, I may need to re-wire the white wire (starter?) to make sure that it's sound, then hope this cures the problem.
