Tater Temp Gauge
Discussion
Temperature gauge would intermittantly drop to zero then bounce back to life, only now its stopped completely.
I figure its most likely the temp sensor, only I can't find it? I can find the otter switch and i can find the ecu temp sender but I can't seem to locate the Temp gauge sender.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Temp gauge sender is screwed into the water jacket at the front of the inlet manifold, next door to the ECU temp coolant temp sender. Keep looking around that area, you'll spot it in the end. The ECU sender has a two pin 'minitimer' style plug, the sender for the temp gauge has a stud sticking out with a nut securing the wire.
Thanks Peter find it and the connection was corroded.
it had something connected inline which had burned out. I put a new connecter on it and the guage now works but read much hotter than it should do (Otter switch indicates it is running correctly tho). Would the burned out connector been some sort of callibration Resistor?
