Radio cuts out when fans cut in
Discussion
I have the same problem. When my fans come on they suck that much power that the Voltmeter drops into the red, the lights go dim and radio has been known to go off.
After SFR tried everything and couldn't find the problem, I have had it diagnosed that the alternator isn't working efficiently. New ones can be sourced for £120 for an OE Lucas part or around £80 for a spurious one. I'm gonna get mine refurbished for around £35.
