Has anyone got a solution to the glove box catch, mine keeps coming loose and the door continues to fall open?

You can simply tighten the pivot bolts at the back.

I moved my fuse block into the glove box and it was always dropping down due to the extra weight.

After knocking up an electromagnetic lock I realised that simply tightening the pivots and introducing more friction was enough to cure the problem.

Mine was broken when I bought the car. Ordered a new pressure catch from RS Spares. It's one of these:

2 days later it fell open because the sticky pad wasn't... Put in a counter sunk screw to hold it in place and it's OK now.

I did wrap some insulation tape round it to make it a tighter fit and if you file back a couple of mm of the side tabs, it'll sit correctly because the glassfibre in that area was quite thick on my car.

They're very flimsy anyway and the slightest knock releases it. frown

You can go posh and fit a central locking solenoid in the corner of the box. Press up as normal and it unlocks, press up as normal and it locks ! I will post the instructions.
