A guy at work got a very similar email for a car he had for sale,he sent pictures etc then the (buyer) gave resons why he needed to send a bank draught for a larger amount than the price of the car and the seller send the difference to the buyers account,the cheque the buyer sent we a dud ,the chap at work never sent any money because he smelt a rat ,so it looks like you have a bandit on line and a thick one at that regards Steve.

There are some tales on the net somewhere, where these Scummers have been kept on the hook for months.
Very funny to read,I think they related to the " someone has died and left millions of " scam.

How about.... as the Growl is a limited edition car it has become necessary to review prospective buyers references. Rather like Ferrari do with some of their specials before committing to actually sell it.

Would he mind sending over details and testimonials of Growls that he's previously owned / has in his possession so that you (an hopefully all of us as well) can see what he's made of.

As above, say that your Growl is a limited edition and, as such, has special maintenance requirements. Only Mybadger Garage has TVR approval to do that work, and that is where the car is now.

Tell him that you wish to ensure that you know who you are dealing with, so you would like a photograph of the buyer. To ensure its authenticity, he should be pictured holding up a sign saying "Growl at Mybadger Please!"

Fortunatly for you I should be able to get Red Growl but it is a limited edition (verys special) and more money, as such, has special maintenance requirements. Only "Mybadger Garage" has TVR Growl approval to do that work, and that is where the car is now.

As you may be awarw there are many fraudelent e-mails of hoax byers I dont believe you are one of them but would like you to do something simple for me just to put my mind at rest.
I would like a photograph of the you the buyer. To ensure its authenticity, could you hold in the picture holding up a sign saying "Growl at Mybadger Please!"

after I recieve this picture I will be happy to speak to Mybager and see how long before the Red Growl is ready.
