Noise and No Noise (Problem Solvers Required)

This sort of ties in with mrmaggit's thread but its something I need to know...

I want the Griff to be louder. Not hideously but noticeably, if you know what I mean. :D

So, I can either de-cat, take the stuffing out or get a sports exhaust. This, I understand and know to be the main options, as I've kept a keen eye on what you lot have done over the years. :scratchchin:

OK, I really don't mind which way to 'Go Loud' - BUT here's the catch.

I need to keep the decibels down to trackday standards. Which is the best option?

Do I do one of the above and buy some silencers? (Don't want to do this, as they look odd) or is there a better method.

I've never noticed a solution to my problem on Pistonheads. If there is one, please point me to the right thread.

If there isn't an 'ideal' solution yet, some of you Griff boffins must have some good ideas? :party:

go for all the above and put IN track silencers!

TVRcarparts do some that side into the rear pipe, and all you can see is a rolled lip on the pipe.

will atke 7db off

did me for a year or two.

steve heath had some nice insert silencers at the Growl, reckoned they'd do about the same.
