Good online place to buy oil?

Anybody have recommendations on where is best to buy oil for a grif 500?

Was thinking of either Silkolene Pro R 15w/50, or Mobil 1 m/sport 15w-50

You do know that you can get Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W50 at your local Halfrauds, though, don't you?

Yep, as mick coupe says, Opie Oils are very good: lotsa free advice and will mail lubes out to you. They recommended the Silkolene to me because it's ester based, as is Mobil 1, but would reduce the 5 litre motor's thirst for oil .

Despite that I'll also pick up what's on offer as long as it's recognised as being one of the best available. I've recently changed to Castrol RS as Halfrauds reduced it from £34 a go to £17 and then knocked another 10% off that; bet they still made something on it at that price too! Went mad and bought the stuff by the achre.

Can't see any prices for engine oil there, am I missing something?

Mobil 1 “ Motorsport” is cheaper in Fance and is stocked in most of the big supermarkets. I usually stock up with a few 4l bottles when there or get coleages to pick up some. Usually it is a little under half price or less.

I bought my Motul from them. Great service. They'll email their price list if you ask them.

There was some one on ebay selling Mobil 1 in the motorsport or vanilla very reasonably priced (from memory @£50 for 2x 4 ltr) with £10 postage.

Not a bad saving.

Halfrauds is usually about £35 for 4 ltr, save £15 and dont need to go and fetch it

yeh - there are no prices, but I got 10l of Silkolene Pro R 15w-50 for £72.99 delivered. There is a PDF price sheet that they email out.

Also - re the ebay auction, the auction is for 0w but the picture has 15w in it, watch out for that one. Note the opie Oils suggested that the 15w is better fo the grif than the 0w.

Neil at tvrcarparts has got some on special offer. They had it on display at Snetterton track day. zz
