Replacement Griffith dashboards ?

What are the options, what do they cost and where from?

Wood, carbon fibre, aluminium etc ?

I'd be doing the job myself.

Hi Colin, re=veneered my wedge dashboard earlier this year. ( if yuo check out the wedge forum, I did an article of how to do it) now have a griff also, will be re-veneering its dash this winter. have a go, its easy, cheap and i`m sure you`ll enjoy doing it !!

Mine's the Leven one, checkered pattern in stainless at around 150 I think.

I looked in the Levens catalogue but couldn't see anything ?

My IT skills are a little limited I'm afraid !

Do you know what types are available ?

I just took a look and I can't see the dash in their brochure either. They were doing 2 finishes if I remember correctly, the small square checks and a "brush" finished one. They did try a circular pattern one but couldn't get the control panel looking right. I'm sure they'll correct me if I've got it wrong. Can prob get a pic of mine if you need one.

Saw carbon fibre inserts for sale at the Griff Growl, but know not from whom or for how much......not much to go on I realise but they are out there, and someone else here will know where!!

Has anyone tried replacing their dash with one in that dark wood as seen in jags? I figure that would look the biz with a dark interior.

I know someone who's got a Leven dash. Looked OK(not my preference) but with the sun behind us the glare was unbelievable. I couldn't see a thing even with on.

Has anyone got or seen a leather covered one? Not sure whether it would look very old fashioned. Advantage would be it wouldn't crack like my veneer one has

Mine was leather covered originally and looked good but the finish wasn't that brill around the switches so easy option was the Leven one.

I dont think the leven stainless dash suits all colours of griff, but in my silver one it looks fantastic, certainly suits it more than the wood did. Never had a problem with glare with mine, think its due to the patterned finish, maybe the brushed one is more of a problem?.

Since dashes were put on our web site we have been able to get better prices which we have passed on to the customer. Dash set for a Griffith/Chimaera is £150 including VAT plus £6.50 for next day delivery.

Sounds like good value from Leven if you like the metal dash. Just over £300 for a re veneer of both the dash and heater panel with the London Carriage Company (Malcom). Great job though.
