I think the glove box latch assy ( 2 pieces: male stud on the lid and a female catch on dash underside ) is the same for both Chimera & Griffin.
MY question is: Does anyone know where I can find a replacement latch assy ( both pieces ) to replace the broken one?

My glove box door will not stay latched in a closed position and hangs down.

/there isn't one on the Chimaera, so I've put this reply in here too. smile

It's one of these on the Griffith:

The problem is that it drops through the aperture in the glass fibre moulding with wear. rolleyes

I took mine to SSC in Brierley Hill, he fixed on a plate in 2023 to make it a better fit. Even when working, you must press gently to release ir close. A slam will break the latch. frown

The previous owner of mine must have broken the catch and replaced it with a metal plate on the main lid and stuck a strong magnet on the glove box part (superglue by the looks of it).
Seems to work quite well until you hit a bigger bump or a pot hole.

The Griffith lid is simply hinged by Allen headed bolt each side. If you tighten both bolts i.e. increase the friction it should stop the lid falling over bumps

It's a bit of an art though. If you make them too tight, the lid won't drop when it's pushed to unlatch (unless it's full of stuff). smile

This leads to repeated latching and unlatching and some pulling, also resulting in breaking it. rolleyes
