My clutch has started slipping so its off the Offord tomorrow to have a new one fitted.(£550 allin)

As they have to take the Exhaust off thought i might aswell get the conversion done (120ish will confirm)
that opens the back box up and puts straight through pipes in there.

I have heard Apaches Griffith that has had this conversion and must say it sounds quite frightning

Not sure my neighbours will be happy especially as one has a new born

BB

Anyone else on here had the Exhaust conversion done

yep, had a conversion done as well

did it slightly different: had the muffler replaced with one half the size and removed the pre-cats

sound is great and still within track limits

Yep, had something similar...

Had all the wadding removed from the back box and it sounds great. I get some cack from the exhaust spitting onto the body work but it washes off easy and the mod hasn't affected the performance detrimentally at all.

Had pipes fitted to mine and the pre-cats disintergrated so removed them too... sounds bloody lovely howver not as gorgeous as my old 4.0 Griff.

Dai, try using a heavier oil...I had this when I used that Mobil one stuff along with ridiculous oil consumption. I use Texaco stuff and get no residue on the back and improved consumption (300%)

Heard it at Mania ans at Le Mans as i was parked not to far from you and Flasher and Benno i think.

Now know why the clutch was slipping, an oil seal had gone and was squirting oil all over the clutch, new seal and clutch required so Phil At Offord told me

Will pick it up tomorrow eve and report back on noisy Exhaust

Yeah BABY that sounds
Coulndnt stop when Simon at Offord started her up and parked her out the front.

Also cant believe how heavy the clutch had got, know much lighter again and no slipping except the back wheels but thats a different story.
