Steering Wheel Options

I currently have a wooden rimmed (E-Type style)steering wheel, very nice it is too.

But, I fancy a change.

Where is the best place to get a nice wheel? Leather, Alcantara, Momo type things are what I'm after.

Are they easy to fit, replace? As much guidance is required as possible.

I have a Momo "Fighter" leather and wood wheel on Wol, I know Barreti has put the same on his Griff. Very sexy wheel, I must say. I had to machine the boss a little, but I don't think Ian did.

Personally I think it's hard to beat the standard wheel for comfort, appearance and grip. Rich...

I think the Tuscan wheel will fit. I fancy one retrimmmed in alcantara. Otherwise have a look at Demon Tweeks / Ripspeed.

Or will I need to be a bit more selective as to what fits and what doesn't?

Whilst on the subject of steering wheels, does anyone have a heated one in their Tiv? if so can it be retro-fitted to the 'personal' standard wheel . Always thought when roof off driving in the winter it would be nice .

The steering wheel screws to the boss, usually via 6 screws. The boss fits the steering column. So if you find a wheel you like, you need to make sure a boss is available for that wheel, to fit the Cavalier coloumn. Unless you buy a repacement Peronal wheel - same make as standard - to fit the standard Personal boss. It may be that Momo, Sparco etc will fit the Personal boss, but I don't know. Although the Cavalier is a popular fitment, and availablility should be wide, you need to consider the reach to the wheel, whether the wheel is dished or not etc to make sure the rim ends up being positioned where you want it.
