6-pin central locking relay

Hello all,
There are a number of posts about this bit in the archives but I can't work out whether mine is actually defective (1994 500). The doors always lock, but have sometimes failed to unlock (despite alarm working OK) and it's been getting worse over the last few days.
The doors lock fine using the dash button too, but don't always unlock when subsequently opened from inside the car - the green light stays on. Until you give the glovebox a firm slam closed, however, which unlocks the doors and make me start rummaging behind the dash.....
I've opened up the relay unit (grey box with 6 pins) and all the contacts appear clean, and shaking it doesn't open/close anything. However, as soon as it's connected back in the car, giving the unit a gentle shake starts it clicking open and closed.
All the wiring looks OK (as far as I can see). Does this suggest a faulty unit?
On the assumption that I do need to change it, does anyone know where to get one? Have seen link to www.autoeurope.co.uk but I'd rather not have to wait until Monday to order then for delivery so an autofactors type place would be great.... (am in Warwick)
